His first job in human services, was to create the disabled student services program at the University of Wisconsin.
Then it was off to The Counselling Center of Milwaukee.
Howard Kaufman has provided social work and Psycho-therapy services to the residents of Milwaukee since 1979.
He has supervised Graduate students for the University of Milwaukee since 1988.
He obtained the supervision certification when it was first offered by the university in 1991.
During his career, he has held a number of professional positions for varying agencies in the city.
He spent 10 years as a Social Worker in a vision rehabilitation program.
He has Represented tribes in Indian Child Welfare ACT cases.
Been the clinical supervisor for the staff of a mental health and Alcohol and drug service provision agency.
As of now he will be supervising graduate level students working with The Power of Change.
